The Archos 101 is finally available for sale in the US

Although the Galaxy Tab is finally out in the US, those of us wanting a bigger than 7 inch Android tablet have been left hanging. There is the Viewsonic G-Tablet but turns out Viewsonic really screwed up the software on it and the screen is horrible. Fear not as Archos has come to the rescue with their 101 or 10.1 tablet which finally became available to order as of today on their website.

LG claims Optimus Android Tablet will be better than iPad

When it rains it pours. Suddenly everyone is tripping over themselves to announce their tablet products. A few days back LG created some major buzz by claiming that their upcoming Android tablet will be better than the iPad. This was declared by their VP of marketing Chang Ma to the wall street journal. Many in the press declared Chang Ma to be a marketing genius. Of course there’s always the possibility that he truly believes it and he’s simply stating his belief.

Archos 5 tablet with Android

As many of my readers are aware I’m very excited about the upcoming Archos 9 tablet PC with Windows 7. I guess since Archos had to wait for Microsoft to launch Windows 7 before they can start selling the Archos 9 they decided to keep busy by squeezing out another new product in the form of the Archos 5 internet tablet running Android.

HTC Hero coming to Sprint

So it has now been confirmed that the latest and greatest Android phone the HTC Hero will finally be coming to the US under Sprint instead of AT&T. It will be available on October 11th for $179 w/2 year contract. The Sprint version has slight cosmetic changes compared with the standard HTC version (not sure why it’s always 10:08 in Heroland).
