by pcchan on Jan.21, 2013, under Product spotlight, Trade Shows, Video Gaming
The Intel booth is always the go-to place for a showcase of the latest and greatest Windows hardware. Amongst all the Windows 8 laptops, ultrabooks, AIOs, tablets and hybrids I was most impressed with the Razer Edge Pro gaming tablet.

You can probably guess from the SoftBank in the name that this is currently a Japan-only product by Sharp. It has a very nice glasses-free 3D display.

The Archos 101 is finally available for sale in the US
by pcchan on Nov.19, 2010, under Product spotlight
Although the Galaxy Tab is finally out in the US, those of us wanting a bigger than 7 inch Android tablet have been left hanging. There is the Viewsonic G-Tablet but turns out Viewsonic really screwed up the software on it and the screen is horrible. Fear not as Archos has come to the rescue with their 101 or 10.1 tablet which finally became available to order as of today on their website.
The best tripod mount and stand for the HD2, iPhone, Blackberry or any other phone/media player you may have
by pcchan on Nov.14, 2010, under Product spotlight
While there are already quite a few tripod solutions for the iPhone, the same could not be said for other phones or media players. Lucky for me and my readers I found a great product today that works great for all phones and media players: The Personal Media Tripod from Versihold. ( Note: I have no affiliation with Versihold and they are not compensating me in any way.)
Protecting the HD2 with Best Skins Ever
by pcchan on Nov.05, 2010, under Product spotlight
The HTC HD2 definitely has a lot of surface area that can be scratched so it’s worth looking into getting a case or some sort of “skin”. I’ve used “invisible shield” from Zagg on some of my other devices but I don’t really like their rubbery feel and I think they’re overpriced. After reading various boards I saw lots of recommendations for another company named “Best Skins Ever” that seems to offer a better product for less price. Their HD2 full coverage product is only $7.99 USD (compared with $24.99 for invisible shield) so I figured it really wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.
HTC HD2: Finally found the perfect next phone for me
by pcchan on Oct.29, 2010, under Product spotlight
Although I’ve been more than happy with my Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, it has been almost 2 years so it’s definitely time to upgrade. After extensive market research and seeing how limited the upcoming Windows Phone 7 is going to be (see my WP7 write-up from 2 posts ago here), I decided the best phone OS for me is still Windows Mobile 6.5 which allows me to easily sync with my desktop outlook, run all the apps that I’ve collected over the years, copy-and-paste, and customize it anyway I like. At the same time I would like to have some of the new capabilities of Android such as Flash 10.1, multi-touch, and the apps store, all running on the latest phone hardware. I didn’t think there was such a device until I found the HTC HD2.
