Some great travel speakers for you laptop or personal electronics

I know that travel speakers are not the most exciting gadget out there but these speakers I found are so good in terms of design, functionality, and performance that I just have to tell you about them. They’re called “Tweakers” and made by the company GRANDMAX. The design of these speakers are so unique they actually won the Engineering and Design Innovation award at this year’s CES. When not in use the two speakers are magnetically joined base-to-base to form a cylinder 3-3/4″ high by 2-1/8″ in diameter:

Logitech Wireless Drums for Guitar Hero

The drums part of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games are a real blast to play. Unfortunately the drum kits that come with the games leave much to be desired, especially if you  happen to also own a set of real drums or even real digital drums. I’m glad to report that Logitech has really come to the rescue with their new Wireless Drums (but only for Guitar Hero and only for Playstation2 and 3).

Even better deal on 25GB BD-R

What a difference 2 days make. Fry’s just discounted the Memorex 25GB 4x BD-R 15 pack to $29.99 today (limit 1 per customer). At $2 a disc these are now officially the cheapest name brand BD-R’s you can get anywhere.  From the reviews I’ve read the quality of the Memorex seems to be good. I’m returning my Maxell’s and getting these instead.
