Report from CES 2014: Intro

by pcchan on Jan.09, 2014, under Trade Shows

It has been a crazy couple of days here in Vegas for CES 2014. Mostly the same-old same-old but I did still manage to find some interesting items that I will share with you in my upcoming posts.

The biggest surprise for me was that Microsoft was not on the show floor this year. They usually have one of the biggest booths right across from Intel but this year they are nowhere to be found. If CES is an indication of what things will look like in the near future, then get ready for a world where all TV’s are 4K (UHD) resolution and curved. Some are even flexible so you can control how flat or curved you want it at the push of a button.

As usual Intel is here with a ginormous booth:

For the last 2 years AMD only got a meeting room but nothing on the show floor.  They must have found some loose change in their couch cause this year they actually splurged for an outside tent:

The South Hall always has a good mix of interesting companies…..or Canada:

Stay tuned for more from CES 2014!
