iPhone4 reception problem: stupid users should know better

by pcchan on Jun.25, 2010, under Products to avoid, Tech company misbehaving

The widespread reception problem with the iPhone4 which will cause signal to drop from 4 bars to no signal in some cases are apparently a user error according to Steve Jobs. Stupid users! Steve Jobs not only knows best in terms of how you should use your phone and what you can run on it but now he’s purposely design the iPhone4 to force users to hold the phone a specific way for your own good! It is definitely NOT a design flaw!

For those ungrateful owners who do not appreciate Jobs’ good intentions Steve is nice enough to recommend an overpriced rubberband to cover up the metal antenna around the edge. Having the rubberband option is probably more freedom than what iPhone users are used to but why would they want to do that when they should all just hold the phone Steve Jobs’ way? If you’re a lefty, the iPhone4 serves as a tool and incentive for you to convert and become ambidextrous which is also an added feature of the iPhone4 and you don’t even need an app for that. ;-)

Wow Steve Jobs is such a great guy what would humanity do without him!!!

Okay all joking aside it’s not that I’m picking on the iPhone4 itself as it is not the only cell phone with reception issues although it’s usually not this bad in other cases. I am, however, shocked at Steve Jobs’ extra arrogant (even compared to his usual self) response to this problem. Oh well I guess he knows he can get away with it as millions upon millions around the world will still buy whatever he sells as they seem to like the abuse and being told what to do.
